I made some improvements for this crunch amplifier VST. I think there's not much different in sound quality, but it still good as always :D. After a few hours of development, so here it is:
- Better gain control, the gain knob is now more responsive to distort than the previous one.
- DC removed, the forgotten one he..he.. sorry.
- Better cabinet simulator engine, it makes some reducement to the CPU consumption, it's a good thing.
- All samplerates are 2x oversampled, even the 88200Hz & 96000Hz samplerates are oversampled (not like the previous version), the CPU consumption is still lower.
- About box added, now you can see who the Aradaz Amp Crunch coder and graphical user interface maker. But, could you find where to trigger the about box?
Please inform me if you found bug(s).

Hi!
I'm trying to use your plugins under linux with ardour and vst support. Last year it worked fine, but now (with the latest version of wine) it crashes everytime I try them. Can you try to make a native linux version (using wineg++ as compiler), or at least to support the wine platform ?
cheers!
@Anonymous: Which VST is crashed? All of them? Thanks...
I love these vst's and end up using them verses the "eye-catching, bad sounding" ones that all sound the same. Wondering if the Punk-Red Amp is still in the works? Sounded like a lot of bad stuff was happening to your PC around that time period last year lol Anyway, keep up the good work!
@the other annonymous: Ardour HAS vst support? Or did you compile that yourself?
@the second Anonymous: The Red Amp is on the line. It will be released soon, this month or next month. I have something to do with my job here...
I'm still using the same PC btw, only a different harddisk. My old harddisk is now a zombie.
Oh! That's great! I loved the sound of the Red amp in that demo you did! Can't wait!
woouw...
canggih euy..
I've listened to tour plugins in a friend's computer, and they sound really GOOD.
I want to use them, but I have a problem, I use ardour in linux with no VST support.
So, have you think of migrate the plugins to LADSPA?
I can help if you need it.
I think it's a good idea to migrate them, you can emai me at paco.andresATiservicesmail.com if you try to do it and you need help.
And thank you for doing these really good plugins.
I just made a recording with the Aradaz Amp Crunch VST plugin - wow! Very realistic tube crunch - fat and nasty, while still allowing the character of my strat to shine through. There are lots of high-gain amp simulators out there, but many of them are so-so in the medium-gain "crunch" department. This one is awesome! I'm a tube amp snob, and it still amazes me that such authentic tube response can be created through software.
